Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure lies over inland parts of the Kimberley and
Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong ridge of high pressure has become established south of the state,
while a trough is deepening about the west coast. The west coast trough will
move inland tonight. On Monday, the trough will continue to move inland as a
weak front brushes past the south coast, ahead of a new ridge strengthening
across the southwest coast. Another trough will develop down the west coast by
middle of the week.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 15 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior,
Gascoyne, Central West, Central Wheat Belt, northern Lower West, northeast
Great Southern, inland South East Coastal district and west Goldfields. Windy
in the morning over central parts and across the Darling Scarp. Very hot over
the Gascoyne and Central West.

Forecast for Monday 16 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, central
and eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Central Wheat Belt, eastern Great Southern,
South East Coastal District, and Eucla. Possible light showers along the Albany
coast. Hot to very hot over central and eastern parts. Becoming windy about the
Gascoyne, Central West, and Lower West coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 17 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, central
and eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, eastern Central Wheat Belt, far eastern South
East Coastal District, and Eucla. . Hot conditions over central and eastern
parts. Gusty south to southeasterly winds over the southern half of the state.

Forecast for Wednesday 18 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara,
Gascoyne, far northern Goldfields, northern Central West and northwest Central
Wheat Belt Districts. Hot to very hot conditions over the west Gascoyne. Windy
over southern and central parts.
