Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure lies over the Kimberley and Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge of high pressure lies south of the State. A trough extending from
the central Gascoyne through the Goldfields and into the western Eucla will
move east today and out of the State by Friday. A new stronger ridge of high
pressure will extend from the west along the south coast later Friday and
Saturday with a west coast trough developing over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 12 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeast Interior. Hot to
very hot over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, north and east Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 13 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Interior. Hot to very hot
throughout, away from the west and south coasts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 14 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, adjacent northeast
Gascoyne, and Interior. Showers over southern districts of the South West Land
Division east of Bremer Bay and Eucla. Windy over southern and central parts.
Hot to very hot over central and northern parts. Cooler over southern districts
of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 15 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, adjacent inland
Gascoyne, and Interior. Showers about the Eucla coast. Windy over southern and
central parts. Hot to very hot over central and northern parts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
