Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure lies over the Kimberley and Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extending from the Pilbara through the South Interior will move slowly
east to be out of the State by Saturday morning. A weak cold front will brush
the south coast today, followed by a strong ridge of high pressure. A new west
coast trough will develop over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 13 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far eastern Pilbara, and
Interior. Chance of a light shower along the south coast east. Hot to very hot
throughout, away from the west and south coasts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 14 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, and Interior.
Showers over southern districts of the South West Land Division east of Bremer
Bay. Windy over southern and central parts. Hot to very hot over central and
northern parts. Cooler over southern districts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 15 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields,
Interior, and Eucla. Showers about the Eucla coast. Hot to very hot over
central and northern parts.

Forecast for Monday 16 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, inland Central West, Central Wheat Belt, eastern Great
Southern, South East Coastal, and Eucla. Light showers along the Albany coast.
Hot to very hot over central and northern parts.
