Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extending from the base of the Kimberley to the Interior is moving
into the Pilbara, and is expected to become slow moving for the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over the South Interior is moving into the North Interior ahead of a
southeast wind surge. A firm ridge of high pressure extends across the southern
half of the state. A west coast trough will form on Monday and a low pressure
system will develop within the trough near the Central West and Gascoyne
border. The trough and low pressure system will slowly move inland middle of
the week.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 12 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, adjacent South Interior, North Interior and far north Goldfields.
Damaging winds possible with thunderstorms over eastern Kimberley. Chance of a
light shower about the southwest coast. Very hot over northern parts of the
State.

Forecast for Tuesday 13 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior,
Goldfields, eastern Gascoyne, Central Wheat Belt, far southeast of Central
West, far northeast of Lower West and far northern Great Southern districts.
Showers over southern parts of South West Land Division and Eucla. Very hot
across northwest Pilbara and southwest Kimberley districts.

Forecast for Wednesday 14 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior,
Eucla, Goldfields, far eastern Gascoyne and eastern Central Wheat Belt
districts. Showers over southern coastal districts. Very hot over southwest
Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 15 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far eastern Pilbara,
Interior, Eucla, Goldfields, southeast Gascoyne and northeast Central Wheat
Belt districts. Showers over southern coastal districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
