Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley and into the North Interior. Another
trough begins to form over the west Pilbara during Sunday and Monday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough and low pressure system is moving into the far eastern Interior and
Eucla during the day. A new ridge will develop to the west in its wake and then
moves south of the State over the weekend. A weak cold front will brush past
the southwest coast today.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 9 December
Showers southwest of Bunbury to Hopetoun. Showers and gusty thunderstorms over
the eastern Interior, eastern Eucla, northern and eastern Kimberley with little
to no rainfall expected. Very hot over northern parts of the State.
Forecast for Saturday 10 December
Showers over southern coastal districts of the South West Land Division.
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the eastern Interior and northern
Kimberley. Very hot over northern parts of the State.
Forecast for Sunday 11 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northeast Interior, northern and
eastern Kimberley. Very hot over northern parts of the State.
Forecast for Monday 12 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and
northern Interior. Very hot over northern parts of the State.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
