Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley down into the northeastern Gascoyne.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge will lie to the south of the state throughout the
forecast period. A trough over central parts of the state extends northeast
into the Interior. The trough will extend a branch towards the west coast early
next week in which a low will form in the trough on Wednesday and move south on
Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 5 December
High based showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northeast Gascoyne, far
southeast Pilbara, Goldfields and Interior. Little to no rainfall expected.
Possible thunderstorms over the South east Coastal district, southern
Goldfields and Eucla clearing during the day. Light showers about southern
coastal districts of the South West Land Division. Very hot over northern parts
of the State.

Forecast for Tuesday 6 December
High based showers and gusty thunderstorms over the eastern Gascoyne, South
Interior, Goldfields and Eucla. Little to no rainfall expected. Light showers
about southern coastal districts of the South West Land Division. Chance of
afternoon thunderstorms over the north Kimberley. Very hot over northern parts
of the State.

Forecast for Wednesday 7 December
High based showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Interior, northern
Goldfields, southeast Gascoyne and northern parts of the South West Land
Division, mostly afternoon and evening. Little to no rainfall expected.
Possible light showers about southern coastal districts of the South West Land
Division and Eucla coast. Chance of afternoon thunderstorms over the north
Kimberley. Very hot over northern parts of the State.

Forecast for Thursday 8 December
High based showers and gusty thunderstorms over the south and east South West
Land Division, far southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, Interior and east
Kimberley. Little to no rainfall expected. Very hot over northern parts of the
State.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
