Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over central Kimberley extends southwest along the Pilbara and
Gascoyne coasts. The western part of the trough will move inland away from the
Gascoyne coast and west Pilbara coasts from Wednesday. A cloud band across the
Pilbara and Interior will persist until later in the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies south of the State with a trough developing down
the west coast. The west coast trough will deepen with a low forming in the
base of the trough today as the ridge begins to weaken and contract east. The
west coast trough will move inland on Wednesday ahead of a weak cold front
approaching from the southwest and expected to brush past the southwest coast
on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 22 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, adjacent North Interior and far
northeast Pilbara. Chance of heavy falls in thunderstorms over northern and
central Kimberley. Showers over the remainder of the North Interior and east
Pilbara. Showers and possible thunderstorms over the southwest Gascoyne and
western and central parts of the South West Land Division, mainly in the
afternoon and evening. Warm to hot across the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 23 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, western Interior, eastern and
central Pilbara, south and east Gascoyne, Goldfields, and South West Land
Division. Showers and thunderstorms contracting east and clearing west coastal
parts of the South West Land during the morning. Warm to hot across the eastern
and southern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 24 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, central and east
Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, eastern Goldfields and Eucla. Showers possible
over southwestern parts of the South West Land Division. Warm to hot across
Goldfields, South Interior and Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 25 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, east Pilbara, eastern
Goldfields and Eucla. Showers over western and southern districts of the South
West Land Division. Warm to hot across Goldfields, South Interior and Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
