Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over central Kimberley extends southwest along the Pilbara and
Gascoyne coasts. A cloud band across the Pilbara and Interior will persist
until later in the week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge of high pressure extends across the southern parts of the State. A
trough will develop down the west coast later today, with the ridge expected to
weaken and contract east on Tuesday. The west coast trough will move inland on
Wednesday as a weak front brushes past the southwest coast.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 21 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior and far
northeastern Pilbara. Chance of thunderstorms over northern parts of Central
West and southwest Gascoyne with little or no rainfall. Light showers over
central parts of the Interior and over the remainder of the Pilbara. Chance of
heavy falls in thunderstorms over central and eastern Kimberley and adjacent
North Interior. Becoming warmer near the west coast.
Forecast for Tuesday 22 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, adjacent North Interior and
northern Pilbara. Showers over southern Pilbara and central parts of the
Interior. Showers and possible thunderstorms across western Gascoyne and
western parts of the South West Land Division, mainly in the afternoon and
evening. Warm to hot across the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 23 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, western parts of the Interior,
eastern and central Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, eastern parts of the
Central Wheat Belt and far northern parts of South East Coastal. Showers over
western Pilbara, western Gascoyne and remainder of the South West Land
Division. Warm to hot across the eastern and southern parts of the South West
Land Division.
Forecast for Thursday 24 November
Showers and thunderstorms over northern and western Kimberley, Interior,
eastern Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, eastern Goldfields and Eucla. Showers over
western and southern parts of the South West Land Division in the area south of
Geraldton. Warm to hot across Goldfields, South Interior and Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
