Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over the Kimberley and Pilbara is moving southwards as a ridge over
the southern parts of the State weakens. A new ridge developing on the weekend
in the south will push the trough back over the Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge extending across the southern half of the State is weakening as a
trough deepens down the west coast over the next few days. This west coast
trough will move inland ahead of a cold front moving across the southwest of
the State later on Wednesday. Another cold front will move across the South
West Land Division on Friday and will be followed by a new ridge of high
pressure over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 15 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley, North
Interior, northeast Gascoyne and eastern Pilbara. Isolated light showers about
the south coast east of Albany, northern Goldfields, northern parts of South
Interior and southeast Gascoyne. Chance of damaging wind gusts with
thunderstorms over southeast Kimberley and eastern parts of the North Interior.
Chance of morning fog over the southern parts of the South West Land Division
and far southern Goldfields. Warmer near the west coast. Very hot over southern
Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 16 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern and northern
Pilbara, and northern parts of the Interior. Showers and thunderstorms over
parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of morning fog over southwest
Pilbara. Warm to hot across the Gascoyne and South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 17 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior,
Goldfields, Eucla and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers
over the South West Land Division. Cooler in the southwest.

Forecast for Friday 18 November
Showers and thunderstorms over northern and eastern Kimberley, eastern parts of
the Interior and far eastern parts of Eucla. Showers over the South West Land
Division , southern Goldfields and the remainder of Eucla. Thunderstorms over
the southern parts of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
