Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough will remain over the eastern Kimberley for most of the week. Another
trough will develop today across the Pilbara and extend into the interior of
the State.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system over the eastern Goldfields will move into the South
Interior and Eucla today before exiting the State. An associated trough over
the South West Land Division will slowly contract east with the low pressure
system over the next few days. A cold front will move over the southwest of the
State on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 8 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley,
eastern and southern Interior, Goldfields, southern Gascoyne, Eucla, and
northern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers over remaining parts of
the South West Land Division. Damaging winds possible from thunderstorms across
the eastern Interior and heavy falls are possible over central parts of South
West Land Division. Very hot over eastern and central Kimberley.
Forecast for Wednesday 9 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley,
northeast Interior and about the eastern Eucla. Light showers over southern
districts of the South West Land Division. Very hot over eastern and central
Kimberley. Chance of morning fog over southeastern parts of the South West Land
Division.
Forecast for Thursday 10 November
Showers and chance of a gusty thunderstorm over northern and eastern Kimberley.
Showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division and far
southern Goldfields. Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over the South
East Coastal district, southeastern Goldfields, and adjacent Eucla. Chance of
morning fog over southern parts of the South West Land Division. Very hot over
parts of the Kimberley and North Interior.
Forecast for Friday 11 November
Showers and chance of a gusty thunderstorm over northern and eastern Kimberley,
and far eastern North Interior. Showers over the southern half of the South
West Land Division, extending along the west coast. Showers also over the
southern Goldfields and Eucla. Thunderstorms possible over southern parts of
the Eucla. Very hot over parts of the Kimberley and North Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
