Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge across the State is weakening and is moving east. A
trough over the far northern Kimberley and along the Pilbara coast will move
inland on Friday as the ridge moves away. This trough will develop a low that
will move in to the Southern and Central regions by Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A west coast trough is deepening and will move inland tonight and on Friday as
a weak cold front brushes past the southwest coast. A low pressure system will
deepen within the trough as it moves over the Gascoyne and Goldfield over the
weekend as a new ridge of high pressure extends along the south coast.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 4 November
Possible showers over the western south coast and adjacent inland parts west of
Albany. Possible afternoon or evening thunderstorm over eastern parts of the
South East Coastal district and adjacent Goldfields and adjacent Eucla. Chance
of showers and thunderstorms over eastern and central Kimberley. Cooler over
the west coast but very warm through the inland South West Land Division and
Goldfields. Very hot over western Kimberley, adjacent Pilbara and adjacent
North Interior. Chance of morning fog over the far west South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Saturday 5 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley, eastern
North Interior, and northeastern parts of the South Interior. Chance of a light
shower about the south coast. Very hot over southwest Kimberley, northeast
Pilbara and adjacent North Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 6 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Eucla,
Goldfields, southeast Gascoyne and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division. Very hot over far northeast Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 7 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley, eastern parts of
the Interior, Eucla, southern Goldfields. Showers over the South West Land
Division. Very hot over eastern Kimberley and far south of the South Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
