Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley to an embedded low over the
northeast Gascoyne. The low will move south into the northern Goldfields today
and contract southeast over the weekend as a ridge of high pressure develops
over the west coast on Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies near the south coast and will push further south as
a trough and embedded low over northern parts moves south into the northern
Goldfields today. The trough and embedded low will continue to move southeast
over the weekend as another strong ridge will extends over the west coast.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 28 October
Showers and isolated thunderstorms through the Goldfields, Eucla, Interior and
far eastern Kimberley. Showers developing over western and through central
parts of the South West Land Division, mostly likely in the evening. Very hot
in the northeast Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 29 October
Showers extending over most of the South West Land Division during the morning
with possible thunderstorms over the northeastern half of the division, easing
from western districts in the afternoon and evening. Moderate falls possible
over central western parts, and extending into central and southeastern parts
of the South West Land Division. Showers and thunderstorms also possible for
the southern Goldfields, far southern Gascoyne, Eucla, eastern Interior and far
east Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 30 October
Cold southerly airstream over southern parts with showers over southern and
central parts of the West Land Division, southern Goldfields, southern South
Interior, and Eucla district. Possible hail in showers along the south coast.

Forecast for Monday 31 October
Showers over southern districts of the South West Land Division, contracting to
coastal parts during the day. Showers about the Eucla coast.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
