Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the North Interior and Pilbara. This trough will contract
southeastward into the Interior today as a ridge strengthens into the Pilbara.
The trough will then redevelop along the Pilbara coast on Tuesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure trough near the west coast will slowly move east across the
southern parts of the State during the next few days. A weak cold front should
move over the far southwest of the State on Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 24 October
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla.
Possible moderate rainfall in the morning across the Great Southern, South
Coastal District and western Southeast Coastal district. Chance of
thunderstorms over eastern and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields, southern parts of the South Interior, and northeastern
parts of the Eucla district. Chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms over
the northeast Kimberley, where very hot conditions will persist.

Forecast for Tuesday 25 October
A few showers over the south coastal districts and southern parts of the Great
Southern. Chance of an early morning shower in the Lower West; otherwise,
partly cloudy. Chance of showers and thunderstorms through the Eucla and
southern parts of the South Interior with high-based showers possible from a
cloud band over the eastern South Interior. Hot over the northeast Kimberley
with the chance of an afternoon thunderstorm.

Forecast for Wednesday 26 October
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, and far western Eucla. Hot over the northeast Kimberley with the
chance of an afternoon thunderstorm.

Forecast for Thursday 27 October
Light showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, and western Eucla. Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the far
northeastern Kimberley, North Interior, and northeastern parts of the South
Interior. Chance of fog over the eastern parts of the Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
