Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies through the Kimberley and extends across the Pilbara to the
Gascoyne. The southern end of the trough will continue to move eastwards as a
new ridge begins to push in over the west coast. Another trough will extend
back in to the Pilbara on Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extends from the Gascoyne into the Goldfields and to the south coast.
The trough will continue to move eastwards with the southern end of the trough
moving out of the State on Saturday as a ridge and high pressure centre moves
south of the state. Another trough will develop down the west coast on Sunday
extending to a low well offshore.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 21 October
Showers southwest of Jurien Bay to Katanning to Israelite Bay clearing western
parts during the morning and afternoon. Possible showers redeveloping over west
coastal parts between Mandurah and Jurien Bay in the evening. A chance of
thunderstorms in the northern Kimberley and far southeastern Eucla. Tending
cooler through the eastern South West Land Division but temperatures increasing
in the eastern Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 22 October
Showers moving over southeastern parts of the State including the southern
Goldfields and South East Coastal District, and clearing from the western
districts. A chance of thunderstorms in the northern Kimberley. A fresh and
gusty southeasterly wind surge moving through eastern parts of the State.

Forecast for Sunday 23 October
Showers developing southwest of Jurien Bay to Merredin to Bremer Bay during the
day.

Forecast for Monday 24 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over southern and central parts of the South
West Land Division, Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior. Possible showers over
inland eastern parts of the Pilbara and adjacent North Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
