Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley, through the Pilbara and down into
the west Gascoyne. The trough will deepen and move east over the Gascoyne on
Sunday while a ridge develops over western Pilbara waters on Sunday and into
Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extends over southern parts of the state. A trough
extends from the Gascoyne and into the Goldfields which will deepen on Sunday
and move east while a weak cold front brushes the far southwest corner during
the afternoon and evening. The trough will move over the South Interior and
Eucla on Monday and a new ridge develops over southern parts of the State in
its wake.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 16 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley, and the
eastern North Interior. Showers over far southern parts of the South West Land
Division and along the coast south of Jurien Bay, mostly afternoon and evening.
The chance of a thunderstorm over southern parts of the South West Land
Division and west Eucla.

Forecast for Monday 17 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley, eastern
North Interior, east and south of the South Interior, Eucla and adjacent
Goldfields. Showers over the far south of the South West Land Division and west
coast south of Jurien Bay, clearing from the west during the morning.

Forecast for Tuesday 18 October
Showers and thunderstorm over the northern Kimberley. Possible showers over the
Eucla and southeast parts of the South Interior, clearing during the morning.

Forecast for Wednesday 19 October
Showers and thunderstorm over the northern Kimberley. Possible showers over the
Eucla and southeast parts of the Southeast Interior, clearing during the
morning.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
