Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low pressure trough lingers over the Kimberley, whilst a high pressure ridge
builds across the south of the State. The rough will extend from the Kimberley,
through the Pilbara and down into the west Gascoyne today as the ridge moves
south. The trough will move inland from the west Gascoyne over the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extends over southern parts of the state. A weak cold
front will brush the southwest corner of the State today before the ridge moves
south of the State later in the day and the trough from the Gascoyne extends
into the Goldfields. The trough will deepen over the week and further extend
into the Eucla.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 14 October
Showers and thunderstorms returning to the far north Kimberley. Showers
southwest of Bunbury to Bremer Bay. Windy morning over the Pilbara, southwest
Kimberley and North Interior. Possible morning frost over the Great Southern,
Central Wheat Belt and inland South East Coastal districts, and the southern
Goldfields.

Forecast for Saturday 15 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley, and the
eastern North Interior. Showers along the western south coast between Cape
Leeuwin and Bremer Bay. Possible morning frost over western parts of the Great
Southern and adjacent Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Sunday 16 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley, and the
eastern North Interior. Showers southwest of Bunbury to Bremer Bay, extending
to southwest of Lancelin to Esperance by evening.

Forecast for Monday 17 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley, eastern
North Interior, east and south of the South Interior, Eucla and adjacent
Goldfields. Showers over the South West Land Division clearing from the west
during the morning.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
