Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low pressure trough extends from the inland central and eastern Pilbara and
into the Interior, while a new ridge strengthens into the west Pilbara. The
ridge will strengthen to the south over coming days with a surge of fresh and
gusty southeasterly winds on Thursday and Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over the South Interior is moving northeastwards during today. A
complex low is moving east over the Southern Ocean while a high over the Indian
Ocean extends a ridge across the west coast. The ridge will extend further
eastwards on Thursday and move south of the State on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 11 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley. Showers about the west
coast south of Jurien Bay, and over the south coastal districts and southern
parts of the Great Southern. Possible showers over the South Interior. Possible
frost in the morning over the Great Southern, Central Wheat Belt and far
southeast of the Central West district. Unseasonably cool maximum temperatures
through central parts of the State.

Forecast for Wednesday 12 October
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior. Morning frost over the northeast
Southwest district, Great Southern, far southern Central Wheat Belt, far
northern parts of the Southeast Coastal district and the adjacent southwest
Goldfields. Unseasonably cool maximum temperatures through central parts of the
State.

Forecast for Thursday 13 October
Possible light showers near the south coast and more likely over the South
Interior and Eucla coast. Morning frost over the Great Southern, Central Wheat
Belt, northeast parts of the Southwest district and the southwest Goldfields.
Windy morning over the Pilbara, southwest Kimberley and North Interior.

Forecast for Friday 14 October
Showers and thunderstorms returning to the far north Kimberley. Showers
southwest of Busselton to Bremer Bay. Windy morning over the Pilbara, southwest
Kimberley and North Interior. Possible morning frost over the Great Southern,
Central Wheat Belt, northern Southeast Coastal district, the adjacent
Goldfields and Eucla.
