Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low pressure trough lies inland from the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts and
into the northeast Gascoyne. The trough will move east out of the Gascoyne on
Monday, with a a new ridge strengthening into the west Pilbara. The ridge will
extend through southern and western parts of the Pilbara as the trough lies
from the central Pilbara coast eastward into the Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies over the Goldfields and far western Eucla and will move over the
rest of the Eucla and South Interior on Monday. On Monday and Tuesday a complex
low over the Southern Ocean will send a series of troughs over the south coast
while a high over the Indian Ocean extends a ridge across the west coast. The
ridge will extend further eastwards over southern parts of he State on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 10 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and central Kimberley. Showers over
western and southern parts of the South West Land Division, far southern
Goldfields and far west coastal Eucla. Showers most likely over the south coast
and adjacent inland areas. Possible small hail near coastal parts between
Augusta and Albany in the morning. Tending cooler over the Mid West, southern
Gascoyne and Goldfields.

Forecast for Tuesday 11 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley. Showers about the west
coast south of Jurien Bay, and over the south coastal districts and southern
parts of the Great Southern. Possible showers over the South Interior. Possible
frost in the morning over the Great Southern and Central Wheat Belt.
Unseasonably cool maximum temperatures through central parts of the State.

Forecast for Wednesday 12 October
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior. Possible morning frost over the Great
Southern, far southern Central Wheat Belt, far northern parts of the Southeast
Coastal district and the adjacent southwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 13 October
Possible showers near the south coast and more likely over the South Interior
and Eucla coast Morning frost more likely over the Great Southern, Central
Wheat Belt, northeast parts of the Southwest district and the southwest
Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
