Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies through the inland Kimberley and Pilbara before moving offshore
from the Pilbara coast for a period on Tuesday morning.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high is building eastward through the Southern Ocean to maintain a ridge over
southern WA early this week. A trough will lie off the west coast on Tuesday
before moving inland during the day. A cold front will then arrive over the
lower west coast during early Wednesday morning and move eastwards through the
South West Land Division during the day. A ridge then develops over southern
parts of the State on Thursday and Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 4 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior and northern and eastern Kimberley.
Showers lighter and less frequent over the Southeast Coastal district, far
southeast Goldfields and Eucla. Showers will develop about the South West Capes
later in the evening. Morning fog over the inland southern parts of the South
West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 5 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley. Showers
extending across the South West Land Division, southwest Goldfields,
southwestern parts of the Interior, and Eucla district. Chance of thunderstorms
over eastern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, and
western Eucla. Small hail possible over southern parts of the South West and
South Coastal districts.

Forecast for Thursday 6 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley. Showers over
the South Interior, Eucla, eastern Goldfields and southwest parts of the South
West Land Division. Possible morning frost over the southern Central Wheat
Belt, northwest Great Southern and adjacent South West district.

Forecast for Friday 7 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley. Light
showers over far southern parts of the South West Land Division and possibly
early about the west coast south of Lancelin. Possible morning frost over the
Great Southern and adjacent South West district.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
