Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies through the inland Kimberley and Pilbara, with the branch of the
trough over the Pilbara expected to drift northward over the coast later Sunday
or Monday. A deep upper-level trough over the inland Gascoyne and North
Interior and will slowly move eastward during the remainder of the weekend and
start of the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge extends through southern and western parts of the State. A high will
build eastward through the Southern Ocean to maintain the ridge over southern
WA into early next week. The next cold front will arrive over the lower west
coast during early Wednesday morning.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 2 October
Showers over the Kimberley, Interior, far southeastern Pilbara, Goldfields,
Eucla and southern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of
thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, far northern Goldfields, central
parts of the Gascoyne, northern Central West, and eastern Eucla. Possible
moderate to heavy rainfall over the east-central Kimberley and Interior.
Possible morning fog over inland central parts of the Pilbara. Cooler max
temperatures across most of the South West Land Division, bar the Mid West.

Forecast for Monday 3 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the east-central Kimberley, South Interior, and
eastern Eucla with showers continuing across the south coastal districts and
eastern and southern Goldfields. Possible moderate rainfall again through the
Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 4 October
Drying out over the Interior, and thunderstorms and showers only isolated in
nature over the northern and eastern Kimberley. Showers lighter and less
frequent over the south coast with dry weather likely from Albany westward
through the South West Capes. Mostly sunny conditions for the remainder of the
South West Land Division. Morning fog over the southern parts of the South West
Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 5 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley. Showers
extending across the South West Land Division, southwestern parts of the
Gascoyne, Goldfields, southwestern parts of the Interior, and Eucla district.
Chance of thunderstorms over the South East Coastal, Goldfields, and Eucla
districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
