Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the inland Kimberley and Pilbara before being confined to
the Kimberley on Tuesday. The northern end of a cold front will pass through
the Gascoyne during Tuesday. A ridge will develop over southern parts of the
State Wednesday and Thursday with a fresh southeasterly flow over the Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies over southern parts of the State which is moving
eastwards ahead of a strong cold front approaching the west coast. This front
will pass over the west coast early Tuesday and continue eastward across the
State for the remainder of the day. A trough inland from the west coast will
also move eastwards across the Goldfields and Eucla on Tuesday. A high pressure
ridge will then develop over southern parts of the State on Wednesday and
Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 12 September
Showers southwest of a line from Shark Bay to Bremer Bay, with possible
thunderstorms south of Jurien Bay. Showers most widespread near coastal parts
of the Lower West and South West districts.

Forecast for Tuesday 13 September
Windy with widespread showers and possible thunderstorms across most of the
South West Land Division. Chance of thunderstorms also over the far southern
Goldfields. Moderate falls over the Lower West and South West districts.
Showers extending into the southern and western Gascoyne and Goldfields. Windy
and warm through the eastern Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior with possible
isolated thunderstorms over the southern Eucla during the afternoon and
evening. Possible morning fog near the Pilbara and northwest Kimberley coasts.

Forecast for Wednesday 14 September
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division and
coastal Eucla. Remaining windy over the far south of the State.

Forecast for Thursday 15 September
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division and
coastal Eucla. Windy over the Eucla and also most of the north of the State.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
