Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough crossing the Gascoyne coast will contract eastward through inland
parts of the State today. A new trough will deepen westward over the inland
Gascoyne and Pilbara coast on Sunday. The northern end of a cold front will
pass through the Gascoyne during Tuesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies over southern parts of the State and will remain in
place through the weekend. A trough will deepen down the west coast late
Sunday, then will start to shift inland during Monday as a relatively strong
cold front approaches the west coast. This front will pass over the west coast
early Tuesday and continue eastward across the State for the remainder of the
day.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 10 September
Showers easing and contracting east through the eastern Gascoyne and northern
Goldfields. Possible showers and storms through the South Interior. Areas of
fog early in the day over much of the inland South West Land Division and
northwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 11 September
Possible morning fog over the inland South West Land Division and west
Kimberley. Slight chance of showers developing over the South West; otherwise,
dry with daytime temperatures broadly warmer than normal across the South West
Land Division. Early showers clearing from eastern parts of the South Interior.

Forecast for Monday 12 September
Remaining warmer than normal across the South West Land Division. Showers
throughout the day over the South West, extending to southwest of a line from
Shark Bay to Hopetoun by late evening. Showers are likely to be increasing
during the evening about the Lower West coast and South West, with the chance
of thunderstorms developing.

Forecast for Tuesday 13 September
Widespread showers across most of the South West Land Division, along with the
chance of thunderstorms through southern parts of the region. Moderate falls
possible in the Lower West and South West. Showers extending into the southern
and western Gascoyne and Goldfields. Windy and warm through the eastern
Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
