Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough near the Kimberley coast extends through the central Pilbara. This
trough is expected to move inland during today and Tuesday, moving east of the
state by Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough and cold front extending from the Gascoyne to the Goldfields and south
to the Albany coastal district will move inland from the coast today before
reaching Eastern parts of the State on Tuesday. The next trough will move over
southern parts of the State from later today before moving east of Western
Australia early Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 5 September
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Gascoyne, Eucla, South
Interior, and far western Pilbara. Chance of thunderstorms over most of the
South West Land Division, Goldfields, southeastern Gascoyne, southwestern
Interior, and western Eucla. Possible heavy falls over the southern Goldfields,
eastern South East Coastal, and western Eucla districts.

Forecast for Tuesday 6 September
Showers over most of the State, apart from the Pilbara, northern Gascoyne and
northern and central Kimberley. Chance of thunderstorms south of a line from
Jurien Bay to Leonora to Warburton. Possible small hail over the South West and
South Coastal districts.

Forecast for Wednesday 7 September
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, southern
Interior, and Eucla district. Possible morning fogs and frosts over inland
parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 8 September
Showers over the South West Land Division, southwestern Gascoyne, southwestern
Goldfields, and Eucla district. Possible morning fogs and frosts over the far
inland parts of the South West Land Division and southwestern parts of the
Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
