Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough is near the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts pushes inland during the
weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving south of the State. A trough is deepening off
the west coast with a low pressure system off the Gascoyne coast. The trough
and low will move inland from the Gascoyne and northern Central West coast on
Saturday. The trough will then move inland from the remainder of the west coast
later Sunday and Monday and reach eastern parts of the State on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 3 September
Rain and showers over much of the State, apart from the Kimberley, Eucla and
and far southern parts of the South West Land Division. Heavy falls possible
over the inland Gascoyne and inland southern Pilbara. Chance of thunderstorms
over the north Central West district, Gascoyne, Pilbara, far northern
Goldfields, western Interior and inland southwest Kimberley. Windy over much of
the State.

Forecast for Sunday 4 September
Showers over much of the State, apart from the northern and eastern Kimberley
and central and western Pilbara. Chance of thunderstorms over northern parts of
the Interior, eastern Pilbara and inland southwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 5 September
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Gascoyne, Eucla, South
Interior and far western Pilbara. Chance of thunderstorms over the Southwest
Land Division, Goldfields and far southern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Tuesday 6 September
Showers over most of the State, apart from the Pilbara, northern Gascoyne and
northern and central Kimberley. Chance of thunderstorms over the Goldfields,
South Interior, Eucla and eastern parts of the Southeast Coastal district.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
