Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low pressure trough lies near the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts. The trough
will push offshore on Friday as a high pressure system continues to move south
of the State. On Saturday the trough will be confined to the inland Pilbara
before extending to inland parts of the Kimberley on Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving south of the State. A trough will deepen off
the west coast on Friday with a low deepening near the Gascoyne coast. The
trough will deepen as it moves inland from the Gascoyne and northern Central
West coast on Saturday with the low drifting southwards offshore. The trough
and low will then move inland from the remainder of the west coast during
Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 2 September
Rain and showers extending over the western Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern
Goldfields and northern and central parts of the Central West district. Heavy
falls possible over the far western Gascoyne and northern Central West
districts. Chance of thunderstorms over the western parts of the Gascoyne and
northern parts of the Central West. Morning light showers also possible along
the south coast east of Albany. Windy over much of the State.

Forecast for Saturday 3 September
Rain and showers over much of the State, apart from the Kimberley, Eucla and
and far southern parts of the South West Land Division. Heavy falls possible
over the inland Gascoyne and inland southern Pilbara. Chance of thunderstorms
over the north Central West district, Gascoyne, Pilbara, far northern
Goldfields and western Interior. Windy over much of the State.

Forecast for Sunday 4 September
Showers over much of the State, apart from the Kimberley and central and
western Pilbara. Chance of thunderstorms over the Interior.

Forecast for Monday 5 September
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Gascoyne, Eucla, South
Interior and far western Pilbara. Chance of thunderstorms over the Southwest
Land Division, Goldfields and far southern Gascoyne.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
