Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over southern coast is bringing a generally easterly flow to the north
of the State. A low pressure trough should develop over the Kimberley and
Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure located over southern coast, drifts further south
today. A trough and low pressure system will deepen off the Gascoyne coast on
Thursday and Friday before moving inland on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 31 August
Light showers south of Busselton to Esperance. Possible morning fogs and frosts
over inland southern and eastern parts of the Southwest Land Division, southern
Goldfields and far western Eucla. Showers and thunderstorms over the southeast
Kimberley and northeastern Interior.

Fire Danger:
Very High over the Kimberley Inland.

Forecast for Thursday 1 September
Light coastal showers between Albany and Israelite Bay. Possible morning fogs
over southern districts of the Southwest Land Division. Showers and
thunderstorms over the southeast Kimberley and northeast Interior. Windy over
the Gascoyne and Pilbara.

Forecast for Friday 2 September
Rain and showers extending over the western Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern
Goldfields, western Interior and northern parts of the South West Land
Division. Heavy falls possible over the Gascoyne and Central West districts.
Chance of thunderstorms over the western parts of the Gascoyne and northern
parts of the Central West. Morning light showers also possible along the south
coast east of Albany.

Forecast for Saturday 3 September
Rain or showers over much of the State, apart from the Kimberley. Heavy falls
possible over the inland Gascoyne, Central West, southern Central Wheat Belt
and western Goldfields districts. Chance of thunderstorms apart from the
Kimberley, Eucla and southern parts of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
