Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge over central parts of the state directs a drier east to
southeast flow.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge of high pressure extends across southern WA, with a high pressure
system over the South West Land Division moving east today. A weak cold front
will brush past the south coast on Sunday and will be followed by another firm
ridge of high pressure on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 20 August
Light showers possible over South West, South Coastal, far southern parts of
the Great Southern, and along the coast east of Bremer Bay. Possible morning
fogs over inland parts of the South West Land Division, southern parts of the
Goldfields and Eucla. Morning frosts over southern parts of the South Interior,
Eucla, far eastern parts of the Central Wheat Belt and southern parts of the
Goldfields.

Forecast for Sunday 21 August
Showers southwest of Fremantle to Salmon Gums to Israelite Bay. Possible
morning fogs and frosts over inland parts of the South West Land Division and
far southwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Monday 22 August
Showers over southern parts of South Coastal, South East Coastal, far southern
parts of the Great Southern, southern parts of Goldfields and Eucla districts.

Forecast for Tuesday 23 August
Light showers possible about the south coast between Augusta and Israelite Bay.
Possible morning frosts across southern Goldfields, adjacent parts of Central
Wheat Belt and southern parts of the South Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
