Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough over the east Pilbara and Kimberley will move north and out of
the area by the weekend as a high pressure ridge continues to develop over
central parts of the state today.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge of high pressure extends across southern WA. A high pressure
system will move east across the South Western Land Division on Friday and
Saturday. A weak cold front will brush past the south coast on Sunday and will
be followed by another firm ridge of high pressure on Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 19 August
Light showers possible over the Lower West, South West, southwestern parts of
the Great Southern, South Coast and South East Coastal districts. Possible
morning fogs over inland parts of the South West Land Division and the far
southwest of the Goldfields. Morning frosts over the Goldfields, far southern
Gascoyne, inland parts of the South West Land Division, southern parts of the
South Interior and inland parts of Eucla district.

Forecast for Saturday 20 August
Light showers possible, mostly coastal over southern districts of the South
West Land Division, and along the Eucla coast. Possible morning fogs over the
southern half of the South West Land Division, southern parts of the Goldfields
and Eucla. Morning frosts over southern parts of the South Interior, Eucla and
southern parts of Goldfields.

Forecast for Sunday 21 August
Showers southwest of Fremantle to Salmon Gums to Israelite Bay. Possible
morning fogs and frosts over inland parts of the South West Land Division and
far southwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Monday 22 August
Showers over southern parts of Lower West, South Coastal, South East Coastal,
southern parts of Great Southern, southern parts of Goldfields and Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
