Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough near the far western Pilbara will slowly move east, whilst a high
pressure ridge develops over the central part of the state later today, before
drifting further south on Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cloud band extends across eastern parts of the state and will continue moving
east during today. A cold front is moving across the southwest of the state
during today, followed by a strong ridge on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 17 August
Showers over South West Land Division and Gascoyne. Showers and rain areas over
the Goldfields, Eucla and southwestern parts of South Interior. Chance of gusty
thunderstorms southwest of Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay with small hail possible
about the South West. Morning fogs over the southwest Kimberley and Pilbara
coast.

Forecast for Thursday 18 August
Showers along the entire south coast with possible small hail between Albany
and Bremer Bay. Light showers also possible over the Lower West, southern parts
of the Great Southern, southern Goldfields, southern parts of the South
Interior, and remaining parts of the South West and Eucla. Morning fogs and
frosts over the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 19 August
Light showers over the Lower West, South West, southwestern parts of the Great
Southern, and along the south coast. Possible morning fogs over inland parts of
the South West Land Division and the far southwest of the Goldfields. Morning
frosts over the central parts of the Goldfields, far southeast of the Gascoyne,
and northeastern parts of the Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Saturday 20 August
Light showers over southern parts of the Lower West, southern parts of the
Great Southern, South West, and along the south coast. Possible morning fogs
over the southern half of the South West Land Division and southern parts of
the Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
