Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A cloud band is expected to develop over the far western Pilbara this evening.
A trough will extend over the western Pilbara from the Gascoyne on Tuesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front will approach the west coast today and will combine with a
developing cloud band before moving inland on Tuesday. A trough will sweep
across the southern parts of the South West Land Division on Wednesday,
followed by a firm ridge on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 15 August
Showers developing southwest of a line from Exmouth to Laverton to Israelite
Bay. Rain and thunderstorms developing near the west coast late in the
afternoon and evening. Heavy falls possible over the southwest Gascoyne coast
and northern parts of Central West late in afternoon and evening. Morning fogs
and frost over the South East Coastal, southern parts of the Goldfields, far
southern parts of South Interior and Eucla districts. Morning fog over the far
western Pilbara.

Forecast for Tuesday 16 August
Rain and showers southwest of a line from Onslow to Forrest. Chance of
thunderstorms over western Gascoyne, Central West, Lower West, South West and
Central Wheat Belt. Heavy falls possible over the western Gascoyne, Central
West, Central Wheat Belt and far western Goldfields. Morning fog over
northwestern Pilbara and southwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 17 August
Rain and showers over South West Land Division, Gascoyne, far western Pilbara,
Goldfields, Eucla and southwestern parts of South Interior. Chance of gusty
thunderstorms over the southwestern parts and south coast of the South West
Land Division. Small hail possible about the southwest coast.

Forecast for Thursday 18 August
Showers over southern and central parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields, Eucla and far southern parts of the South Interior.
Morning fog and frosts over the South West Land Division and far southern parts
of the Gascoyne.
