Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge near the eastern border is directing an east to northeast flow. A
trough over the Kimberley extends into the Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front will cross the South West Land Division during today and will be
followed by a very cold airmass as a low pressure trough sweeps across the
south on Tuesday. A ridge then develops over central parts of the State on
Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 8 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, southwest Goldfields and southwest
Gascoyne. Chance of gusty thunderstorms with possible hail southwest of a line
Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay. Morning fogs over the southern Gascoyne, southern
Goldfields, Central West, South East Coastal, western Eucla and Central Wheat
Belt districts. Possible morning frost over South Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 9 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, southern and
coastal Gascoyne, Eucla, Interior and southeast Pilbara. Chance of
thunderstorms near the South West Land Division coasts, South East Coastal,
southern Goldfields and western Eucla. Small hail possible southwest of a line
Jurien Bay to Esperance. Possible snow flurries on the peaks of the Stirling
Range in the morning. Cold maximum temperatures over most of the South West
Land Division and southwest Goldfields.

Forecast for Wednesday 10 August
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and southern Eucla. Areas of rain and showers over the
eastern Pilbara, North Interior, eastern parts of South Interior and far
southern Kimberley. Possible small hail over the Southeast Coastal and eastern
parts of the South Coastal districts. Morning fogs over the Central Wheat Belt
and southern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Thursday 11 August
Showers over far western and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and Eucla. Areas of rain and showers over the northeast
Pilbara, North Interior, northeastern parts of South Interior and southern
Kimberley. Morning fogs over inland parts of the South West Land Division and
southern Gascoyne. Morning frost over eastern parts of Central Wheat Belt,
southeastern parts of Gascoyne and adjacent Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
