Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge lies over southern parts of the State and will direct a fresh
southeasterly flow over the Pilbara and southwest Kimberley on Saturday
morning. A trough will remain over the north Kimberley which extends into the
Interior on Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies over southern parts of the State. A weak cold front reaches the
far southwest corner of the State late Saturday evening and moves through the
South West Land Division on Sunday. A moderate cold front will move through on
Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 6 August
Showers west of Geraldton to Lake Grace to Albany and along the remaining south
coastal parts of the State. Chance of thunderstorms near the coast between
Bunbury and Albany late evening. Morning frost possible over eastern parts of
the Central Wheat Belt, southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, northeast Great
Southern, northwest Southeast Coastal district and South Interior. Morning fog
over inland parts of the South West Land Division and western Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 7 August
Showers over the South West Land Division and southwestern parts of the
Goldfields. Chance of thunderstorms along the south coast of the South West
Land Division. Morning frost possible over the far northeast Central Wheat
Belt, far northern Southeast Coastal district, southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields,
and South Interior.

Forecast for Monday 8 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, southwest Goldfields and far
southern Gascoyne. Chance of thunderstorms with possible hail over the far
south of the State. Morning fogs over the southern Gascoyne, southwest
Goldfields, Central West and Central Wheat Belt. Possible morning frost over
parts of the Goldfields and South Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 9 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, southern and
coastal Gascoyne, Eucla, South Interior and southeast Pilbara. Possible small
hail over far southern parts of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
