Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure over the south of the State will continue to direct
dry, cooler east to southeasterly winds across the north this week. Winds will
be fresh and gusty at times until Tuesday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure system in the Bight is moving east. A firm ridge of high
pressure over the State will weaken on Tuesday, as a cold front moves through
the South West Land Division. A new high pressure system will follow in the
wake of the front on Wednesday and re-build the ridge over the State.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 4 July
Showers developing about the Southwest Capes later in the evening. Chance of a
light morning shower about the eastern Eucla coast. Morning frost over the
Goldfields, Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern, South East Coastal, South
Interior and inland parts of South Coastal, South West and Lower West
Districts. Winds easing over the north of the State later in the day.
Forecast for Tuesday 5 July
Showers near the Southwest Capes extending to southwest of a line from Kalbarri
to Israelite Bay during the day. Morning frost over the Interior, Eucla,
Goldfields, Gascoyne, eastern Central West and southeast Pilbara.
Forecast for Wednesday 6 July
Chance of light showers over the South West Land Division and western Eucla
district. Chance of morning frost over the Interior, Eucla, northern
Goldfields, Great Southern, Gascoyne, southeast Pilbara and inland parts of the
South West District. Chance of morning fog across the southwest of the State.
Forecast for Thursday 7 July
Chance of light showers south of a line Eneabba to Forrest. Chance of morning
frost over the Interior, northern Goldfields, eastern Gascoyne and southeast
Pilbara. Chance of morning fog across the southwest of the State.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
