Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high well south of the State is extending a ridge across the state. A cloud
band will extend over western parts of the State during Wednesday and Thursday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies over the southeast of the State. A complex low pressure system and
associated cold front will approach the west coast during Wednesday. A series
of frontal bands will then move across the southern half over the coming days
while the low pressure system will persist off the west coast until moving
inland on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 8 June
Showers extending to west of a line from Onslow to Newman to Albany and along
the Eucla coast. Possible thunderstorms over the west Pilbara, western
Gascoyne, Central West district and northwest Lower West district.
Forecast for Thursday 9 June
Showers west of a line from Port Hedland to Israelite Bay and along the Eucla
coast. Possible thunderstorms over the western Pilbara, western Gascoyne and
western parts of the South West Land Division. Heavy falls possible near the
coast over the Gascoyne and far west Pilbara.
Forecast for Friday 10 June
Showers west of a line from Wallal to Eyre. Possible thunderstorms over the
western Pilbara, Gascoyne and western and central parts of the South West Land
Division. Heavy falls possible over the far western Pilbara.
Forecast for Saturday 11 June
Showers southwest of a line from Port Hedland to Newman to Giles. Possible
thunderstorms over the western Pilbara, central and southern Gascoyne, Central
Wheat Belt, Great Southern, inland parts of the Central West, Lower West, and
northern parts of the South West district.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
