Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the southern Kimberley which moves northwards on Thursday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A slow moving trough is moving east over the Eucla , contracting in to the
South Australia during Thursday. A weak ridge develops over central parts of
the State on Thursday and Friday. A strong cold front will then cross the west
coast of the State during Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 19 May
Showers over the South West Land Division with possible thunderstorms over
eastern parts of South East Coastal district. Showers and thunderstorms over
the southeast Goldfields, Eucla, Interior, and inland eastern Pilbara.
Forecast for Friday 20 May
Showers over the South West Land Division and Eucla. Showers and thunderstorms
over the central Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and western Interior.
Forecast for Saturday 21 May
Showers over the Eucla and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.
Showers and thunderstorms over the western half of the Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and Interior.
Forecast for Sunday 22 May
Showers southwest of a line Port Hedland to Warburton. Thunderstorms possible
southwest of Jurien Bay to Albany and over the northeast Gascoyne, far
southeast Pilbara, western Interior and northeast Goldfields.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
