Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the southern Kimberley while another slow moving trough
moves across the central Pilbara today and Wednesday developing a rain band
through the Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over the Pilbara will extend into the Gascoyne today. A low pressure
system and associated cold front approaching the southwest will become slow
moving near the coast today before sweeping across the South West Land Division
and Eucla on Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 17 May
Showers and possible thunderstorms developing west of a line Northampton to
York to Walpole. Rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls over northern
Gascoyne, Pilbara and Interior.

Forecast for Wednesday 18 May
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the South West Land Division,
Goldfields, southern and western Gascoyne and Eucla. Rain and thunderstorms
with possible heavy falls over northeast Gascoyne, Pilbara and Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 19 May
Showers over the South West Land Division and about the Gascoyne coast south of
Shark Bay, with possible thunderstorms over eastern parts of South East Coastal
district. Showers and thunderstorms over southern and eastern Goldfields,
Eucla, Interior and eastern Pilbara.

Forecast for Friday 20 May
Showers over southern and western parts of the South West Land Division, Eucla
and far southern Goldfields. Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior,
southern Pilbara and northeast Gascoyne.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
