Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the southern Kimberley. Another trough will develop over the
Pilbara later today associated with a new cloud band before slowly moving
across the central Pilbara Tuesday and Wednesday

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure over the south coast will drift eastwards to South
Australia today. A trough developing over the Pilbara will extend into the
Gascoyne from later today. A low pressure system and associated cold front will
approach the southwest coast later today and sweep across the South West Land
Division on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 16 May
Showers near coastal parts of the South West Land Division south of Mandurah
and Eucla District coast, more frequent about the Southwest Capes. Showers and
possible thunderstorms over the Pilbara and Interior. Chance of morning fog in
the south.

Forecast for Tuesday 17 May
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, southern and coastal
Gascoyne and eastern Eucla. Thunderstorms possible west of a line from Moora
and Windy Harbour. Rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy falls over
northern Gascoyne, Pilbara and Interior.

Forecast for Wednesday 18 May
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the South West Land Division,
Goldfields, southern and western Gascoyne and Eucla. Rain and thunderstorms
with possible heavy falls over northeast Gascoyne, Pilbara and Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 19 May
Showers over the South West Land Division and about the Gascoyne coast south of
Shark Bay. Showers and possible thunderstorms over southern Goldfields, Eucla,
Interior and eastern Pilbara.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
