Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends near the coast from the Kimberley to the Pilbara. It will
push offshore from the east Pilbara and Kimberley coasts for a period in the
morning until Monday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure system well to the south of the State will continue to
move slowly east over the weekend. A weak west coast trough will move inland on
Monday ahead of a series of cold fronts across the south next week.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 24 April
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over the Southeast Coastal district,
southeast Goldfields, Eucla and adjacent South Interior. Possible coastal
showers along eastern parts of the South Coastal district. Areas of morning
smoke over the Lower West and South West districts and the chance of morning
fog over the South and South East Coastal districts.
Forecast for Monday 25 April
Showers developing over the Southwest Capes in the afternoon and extending to
southwest of a line Geraldton to Albany by late evening. Possible thunderstorms
developing near coastal parts between Lancelin and Albany late afternoon and
evening.
Forecast for Tuesday 26 April
Showers over western parts of the Southwest Land Division extending to
southwest of a line Coral Bay to Leinster to Eyre during the day. Possible
thunderstorms southwest of Jurien Bay to Albany.
Forecast for Wednesday 27 April
Showers over the Southwest Land Division, southern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla
and adjacent South Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
