Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends near the coast from the Kimberley to the Pilbara. It will
push offshore from the Pilbara and far west Kimberley coasts for a period in
the mornings during the week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge is developing south of the State as a strengthening high pressure
system arrives on Thursday and moves slowly east on Friday and into the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 21 April
Areas of smoke haze possible over parts of the Lower West and South West
districts. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the far northwest Kimberley.
Light showers along the southern coastal districts, chance of showers near the
Gascoyne coast.
Forecast for Friday 22 April
Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the western Gascoyne and far northwest
Gascoyne. Light showers over the South Coastal, Southeast Coastal, Eucla and
far southeast Goldfields.
Forecast for Saturday 23 April
Showers over the South Coastal, Southeast Coastal, Eucla and southern
Goldfields. Chance of thunderstorms over the Southeast Coastal district and
Eucla.
Forecast for Sunday 24 April
Showers over the eastern parts of the Southeast Coastal district, Eucla and
adjacent South Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
