Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends from the Kimberley to the Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system moving into the Bight extends a ridge along the south
coast. The high pressure system will contract east on Thursday as a trough
develops down the west coast. The west coast trough will move inland on Friday
ahead of a cold front advancing across the southwest of the state. A new ridge
of high pressure will follow in the wake of the trough on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 6 April
Chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm over the far northern
Kimberley. Possible light morning shower about the eastern South East Coastal
district and Eucla district. Possible light afternoon shower over inland
Pilbara.

Forecast for Thursday 7 April
Chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm over the far northern
Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 8 April
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the far northern Kimberley. Showers and
thunderstorms over most parts of the South West Land Division, light falls
inland. Possible shower about the southern Gascoyne coast later in the day.

Forecast for Saturday 9 April
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the far northern Kimberley. Showers
about southern districts of the South West Land Division and along the west
coast south of Shark Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
