Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends to the Pilbara to a tropical low offshore from the southwest
Gascoyne. Another weak trough extends from inland Kimberley to the the North
Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A tropical low lies offshore of the southwest Gascoyne coast and is forecast to
remain near stationary before crossing the far north of the Central West
district on Sunday. A cold front will also move over southern parts of the
state on Sunday. A new ridge of high pressure will extend east along the south
coast behind the cold front and low pressure system early next week.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 2 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the western Pilbara, western Gascoyne and
Central West. Showers over the southwest and central parts of the South West
Land Division, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields and far western parts of the South
Interior. Chance of a shower or gusty thunderstorm over the far northern
Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 3 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the southwest Pilbara, Gascoyne,
southwestern Goldfields and the South West Land Division. Heavy falls possible
over the Southwest, South Coastal and Great Southern districts. Chance of a
shower or gusty thunderstorm over the far northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 4 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the southern Gascoyne, Goldfields and
northern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers over
remaining parts of the South West Land Division, western Gascoyne and western
Eucla District. Chance of a shower or gusty thunderstorm over the far northern
Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 5 April
Possible showers over northern and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division, southern Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla. Chance of a shower or gusty
thunderstorm over the far northern Kimberley, northeast Gascoyne, far northern
Goldfields and Southern Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
