Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Pilbara and into the North Interior.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge is developing south of the State with a high pressure system to form on
Thursday before moving into the Bight on Friday. A trough will also form over
the inland Gascoyne on Wednesday, which further develops down the west coast
Thursday and Friday. The remnants of Tropical Cyclone Charlotte will begin to
move southwards well offshore from the west coast during Friday and into the
weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 23 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Gascoyne
and far western Interior. Light showers about the south and Eucla coasts.
Forecast for Thursday 24 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and Gascoyne. Light
showers about the south coast.
Forecast for Friday 25 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern and western Pilbara
and northwest Gascoyne.
Forecast for Saturday 26 March
Showers southwest of Karratha to Israelite Bay. Possible thunderstorms over the
western Pilbara and Gascoyne and northern parts of the South West Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
