Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough will remain slow moving from inland Pilbara to the North Interior.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system developing to the south of the State will move into the
Bight on Thursday night. A trough is forming over the inland Gascoyne and will
extend along the west coast on Thursday and on Friday. The remnants of Tropical
Cyclone Charlotte will move southwards closer to the west coast during Friday
and into the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 24 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and far
northern parts of the Central West. Light showers about the south coast.
Forecast for Friday 25 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and eastern parts
of the Interior, western Pilbara, western Gascoyne and Central West.
Forecast for Saturday 26 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms southwest of Karratha to Israelite Bay with
possible heavy falls in the South West Land Division. Showers and gusty
thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Northern Interior.
Forecast for Sunday 27 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms throughout, more frequent across the South West
Land Division with rain and possible heavy falls.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
