Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Pilbara and into the North Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high is moving into the Bight and trough is developing over the inland
Gascoyne and down near the west coast. It will move east today across the South
West Land Division. Another weak front brushes the southwest coast later today
and into Saturday with a ridge to develop south of the State in its wake. On
Sunday, the trough over the inland Gascoyne moves east and across the
Goldfields.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 18 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior and northern
Pilbara. Light showers over southwestern parts of the South West and adjacent
South Coastal districts later in the day.

Forecast for Saturday 19 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and the
northwestern Interior. Showers over southern parts of the South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Sunday 20 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, western Interior,
eastern Gascoyne and northern and western Goldfields. Showers over the
remaining Goldfields, western Eucla and southern and central South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Monday 21 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, western Interior, northern and eastern Goldfields and northern Eucla.
Showers over far southern parts of the South West Land Division, Eucla and
remaining Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
