Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Pilbara and into the North Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies over the Eucla and South Interior, contracting into South
Australia as a weak cold front brushes along the southwest coast during
Wednesday. A new ridge develops over southern parts of the State in the wake of
the front and will begin to drift south on Thursday as a new trough develops
near the west coast. The trough will move inland on Friday across the South
West Land Division ahead of another weak front brushing the southwest coast
over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 16 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeastern Interior.
Light showers over the far southwest of the State.

Forecast for Thursday 17 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and adjacent North Interior.

Forecast for Friday 18 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior and northern and
eastern Pilbara. Light showers over the South West and adjacent South Coastal
districts.

Forecast for Saturday 19 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior and
northeast Gascoyne. Showers over most of the South West Land Division and
southern Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
