Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extending from the Kimberley to the Pilbara coast will drift south on
the weekend.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies to the south of the State and will weaken during
the weekend. A trough persists near the west coast and will deepen today before
moving inland on Saturday. A new ridge will follow in the wake of the trough.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 11 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the western Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne,
far western parts of the Goldfields, far western parts of the South Interior
and the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Saturday 12 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, southern Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, Goldfields, western parts of the South Interior, western parts of
Eucla and over the central and southern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Sunday 13 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, eastern
Goldfields, Interior, Southeast Coastal and Eucla. Few showers about the
southwest of the State.
Forecast for Monday 14 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and Interior. Few
showers over Eucla and the southwest coast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
