Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the Kimberley and into the Interior Another trough lies
near the Pilbara coast which will move offshore for a period during the
mornings.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies south of the State while a trough develops near
the Gascoyne coast and extends south along the west coast over the weekend and
into next week.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 6 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over most parts of the Kimberley and northern
parts of the North Interior. A Few light showers over Eucla, southern parts of
the South Interior, southeast Goldfields and eastern Southeast Coastal district.
Forecast for Monday 7 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern parts of the North
Interior and Pilbara. Few light showers over the far south of the State.
Forecast for Tuesday 8 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over most parts of the Kimberley, Pilbara,
adjacent North Interior and northern parts of the Gascoyne. Few light showers
near the south coast.
Forecast for Wednesday 9 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over most parts of the Kimberley, Pilbara and
northern parts of the Gascoyne.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
