Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends across the Kimberley towards the Pilbara coast. A Tropical Low
has formed north of the Kimberley coast and is expected to be slow moving over
the next couple of days. It may become a Tropical Cyclone later Friday or

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Gascoyne and into western parts of the South
West Land Division and will move east during Friday and on Saturday. A large
high pressure system south of the Bight today extends a ridge to the Eucla
Coast before moving away to the southeast on Saturday. A new trough develops
near the west coast during Sunday and deepens on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 25 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeast Pilbara.
Possible thunderstorms about eastern parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and western Eucla. Little to no rainfall expected.
Forecast for Saturday 26 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Possible thunderstorms
about southern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent
southern Goldfields. Little to no rainfall expected.
Forecast for Sunday 27 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and far northwest
Northern Interior. Showers over far southern parts of the State with the chance
of thunderstorms over eastern parts of the South West Land Division, southeast
Goldfields and Eucla. Little to no rainfall expected.
Forecast for Monday 28 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
northeast Gascoyne and northwest North Interior. Possible light showers over
the Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
