Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends across the Kimberley towards the Pilbara coast.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough is located near the west coast and is expected to remain slow moving
this week. A ridge of high pressure along the south coast is expected to
strengthen from today as a new high pressure system arrives to the south of the
state.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 17 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley,
western parts of North Interior, adjacent South Interior, Pilbara and northern
Gascoyne. Chance of a light shower between Windy Harbour and Israelite Bay and
adjacent inland.
Forecast for Friday 18 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, adjacent North Interior,
Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne.
Forecast for Saturday 19 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, western Pilbara and
adjacent northwest Gascoyne.
Forecast for Sunday 20 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and western Pilbara. Light
showers over South Coastal and Southeast Coastal Districts.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
