Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over the Pilbara extends into the Gascoyne, while another trough
extends across the Interior.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deepening trough lies near the west coast, moving inland during Friday and
reaches the Interior and Eucla on Saturday. A weak cold front brushes the
southwest corner of the State on Saturday before a new ridge develops in its
wake.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 11 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, North
Interior, western parts of South Interior, western parts of the Goldfields,
Central West, Lower West, Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern, South Coastal and
Southeast Coastal. Heavy falls possible through the southern Gascoyne, Central
Wheat Belt, Great Southern, eastern parts of South Coastal and Southeast
Coastal Districts. Damaging winds possible with thunderstorms across the Great
Southern, South Coastal and Southeast Coastal Districts.
Forecast for Saturday 12 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, western parts
of the Interior, Goldfields, Central West, Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern,
Southeast Coastal and western parts of Eucla. Showers about the Southwest and
South Coastal Districts. Severe thunderstorms possible through the Central
Wheat Belt, Great Southern, southern Goldfields and Southeast Coastal
Districts. Thunderstorms will be gusty through the Kimberley.
Forecast for Sunday 13 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, western parts
of the Interior, Goldfields, Central West and northern parts of the Central
Wheat Belt. Showers over Eucla and Southeast Coastal District. Isolated heavy
falls possible over the southern Pilbara and the Gascoyne. Thunderstorms will
be gusty through the Kimberley.
Forecast for Monday 14 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, adjacent Interior, Pilbara,
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, Central West, Central Wheat Belt and northern
parts of the Lower West. Few light showers over Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
